Pakistan after defeating Hong Kong by 68 runs, reserved their Semi final spot in the Asian Games.
Pakistan scored 160/10 in 20 overs while in reply Hong Kong put only 92/10 in 18.5 overs on the board.
They became the 2nd team after India who booked their seat in the Semi Final after defeating Nepal by 23 runs.
After winning the toss, Hong Kong opted to bowl first.
Pakistan batters were struggling in the beginning as they lost 5 wickets in just 54 runs. They were going one after the other. Asif Ali (25 runs) held up the score a little bit. In the end Arafat Minhas (25 runs) and Aamer Jamal (41 runs) with some great hits took their team to a competitive total. Jamal was highly destructive with his knock as he hit 2 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. At the end they posted 160 runs in 20 overs by losing all the wickets.
Ayush Shukla took 4 wickets. Mohammad Ghazanfar took 3 wickets. Anas Khan got 2 wickets while Ehsan Khan got 1 wickets.
Hong Kong was looking helpless with their batting performance. Four of the batters (Muhammad Khan, Nasrulla Rana, Anas Khan and Ayush Shukla) were out without scoring any runs. Babar Hayat (29 runs) was the highest scorer from the side. Their low scoring batters finally posted 92 runs in 18.5 overs and lost all their wickets.
Kushdil Shah was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets in his spells. Arafat Minhas, Sufiyan Muqeen and Qasim Akram got 2 wickets each.
