Pakistan announces their 18 member squad against Afghanistan and 17 member squad for Asia Cup 2023.
All the members for Afghanistan and Asia Cup are the same, except Saud Shakeel who will be seen only against Afghanistan. One of the strangest decisions was the comeback of Faheem Ashraf who will be seen playing international matches after two long years. While Shan Masood was missed from the squad after he was looking a little out of form. Tayyab Tahir was the new member addition to this squad.
Babar Azam will be seen leading the team. The new chief selector of Pakistan, Inzamam-ul-Haq shortlisted the players for the first time under his tenure this time.
Before the Asia Cup, Pak will play against Afghans from 22-26th August for a three match series.
