Pakistan named their 15 member squad for the World Cup. Babar Azam will be leading the side.
One of their main setbacks will be the unavailability of their star young pacer Naseem Shah. he was injured during the Super Four round of the Asia Cup. Hasan Ali will replace him. Shah was highly successful during the middle and death overs.
Imam-ul-Haq is their main opener and he is also in destructive form. Fakhar Zaman started the year pretty well but after that his batting has declined but he might also come stronger in the world Cup. Babar Azam is still claiming the top spot in the ICC Mens ODI ranking and again will show his class.
Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed will give a solid middle order strength. Shadab Khan, Salman Agha and Mohammad Nawaz will handle both the departments of batting and bowling.
Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf will handle the pace department.
Pakistan will play their first match against Netherlands on 6th October at Hyderabad.
Last date for squad change is 28th September after that the squad will be locked.
