RAJASTHAN ROYALS (RR):
Sanju’s Army shows how destructive they can be in the field in both batting and bowling. All the players performed very well during their 1st match against SRH. They proved why they were the finalists last season.
All the three starting players scored half centuries and each and every player was brutal with their bat. Sanju scored 55 runs in 32 balls, Butler scored 54 runs in 22 balls and Jaiswal scored 54 runs in 37 balls. Butler and Samson continue their form from where they left the show. Chahal again shows the power of his magical fingers by taking 4 wickets and he also continues his form where he left. Boult also supported him by taking 2 wickets.
PUNJAB KINGS (PBKS):
Daring Dhawan and his company started their journey with a win over KKR by 7 runs through DLS method. Their win should be more valuable because they were without Livingston and Rabada who are their key players. And this boosted their confidence level. Rabada will join the team against RR.
Rajapaksa’s blistering innings of 50 runs in 32 balls along with Dhawan’s innings of 40 runs in 29 balls put Punjab in a great condition and lastly with the help of Curran’s 26 runs in 17 balls reached Punjab 191/5 in 20 overs. After that Arshdeep takes the charge by demolishing KKR top order by picking 3 wickets. KKR was 146/7 in 16 overs and then the rain started and PBKS won the match through DLS method.
