Rohit Sharma’s performance in his last five matches only scored in single digit. Great innings is waiting for him. He needs to spend more time on the pitch. Ishan Kishan on the other hand is looking in great touch. After a poor start of the season he is looking at some great hitting from the beginning. He was also selected in place of KL Rahul for the WTC final.

Shubman Gill who is looking in tremendous form this IPL season. He gives a good start to the team and he starts his innings slowly but after spending some time in the pitch he starts hitting wherever he wants to hit. In his last match he was just short of a century against LSG, scoring 94 runs. Till now he scored 469 runs and is 3rd in the list of purple cap. Wriddhiman Saha also found his form and he also contributed great knocks for the team. Against LSG he scored 81 runs and both of them contributed 142 runs for the 1st wicket partnership.
Suryakumar Yadav’s returning form, a bit of relief for Mumbai as well as for the Indian cricket team. He show class his batting against RCB and made 83 runs in just 35 balls. He showed destruction from the beginning and scored 376 runs till now in the tournament and many runs to come. Nehal Wadhera who came few matches back already scored 2 half centuries. He is consistent with his performance and he hits the balls very cleanly. Cameron Green also plays well and when he gets the opportunity he starts showing his hit from the very first ball. And he is that kind of a player where he adapts himself according to the situation.
Hardik Pandya returning form a bit of relief for the team. He has been consistent in the last few matches. Vijay Shankar also scored well in the last few matches. GT is the team who rotates their players well according to the situation.

Tim David who finishes the team total above 200 and he totally carries his duty well. In the death overs he started showing his fierce power and scoring runs like a bullet. Tilak Varma who missed last few matches is fit and he might join the team again. This youngster shows a lot of talent in batting. When the team struggles he is one who performs and constantly makes runs for the team.
David Miller the giant in the death overs always shows destruction in the end. Against LSG also scored 21 runs in just 12 runs and remained out in the end. Abhinav Manohar and Rahul Tewatia also show some class of hitting towards the end. And they both are capable of making huge runs in a few balls.
MI is lacking somehow in their bowling due to which they chased pretty easily 200+. But the problem arises that the team is giving away runs easily and the opposition easily scoring 200+ runs. Piyush Chawla is the only from the side who is consistent in every match. He is the leading wicket taker from the side and grabbed 17 wickets till now. Chris Jordan who played the first match of the season was highly expensive in his spells. Jason Behrendorff grabbed 3 wickets against RCB. But his performance is also not so consistent. Kumar Kartikeya also needs to be more accurate with his line and length.
Looking at the bowling side of GT, they are absolutely fantastic. All the bowlers are equally contributing in each of the matches. They restricted their opponents to pretty low scores and later on the team chased the runs easily. Mohd Shami and Rashid Khan both took 19 wickets till now in the season. Shami is 2nd while Rashid is 3rd in the purple cap list. Mohit Sharma also contributed in the wicket taking process. Against LSG he took 4 wickets. Noor Ahmed also followed the steps of his fellow Afghani team mate and took wickets with good economy.
It is basically the match between MI batters vs GT bowlers.
