Match 50: RCB vs DC| Full Analysis| TATA IPL 23| Best 11.

Delhi Capitals (DC) will welcome Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. Bangalore is at 5th and Delhi is at 10th in the points table.

Bangalore and Delhi both won their last encounter in their low scoring matches. Delhi won against table toppers GT while Bangalore won against LSG

Royals batting unit is highly dependent on the trio: Kohli, du Plessis and Maxwell. Opening combination of the team is too deadly for any opposition. Kohli and du Plessis are highly consistent with their performance and they both mostly contribute more than 50% of the team runs. Kohli made 364 runs while du Plessis made 466 runs in the tournament till now. Orange cap is also being worn by du Plessis. Capitals are struggling with their opening combo.

David Warner started the season pretty well but in his last three matches he was unable to score more and scored only 23 runs in the last three. Despite this he scored 308 runs in the tournament till now and is 9th in the list of orange cap. He also had a great batting record against RCB. Phil Salt out on a golden duck against GT but he might be again seen with Warner.

Mitchell Marsh missed the last encounter against GT due to illness. But he is fit and will be definitely participating against Challengers. In his last all round performance against SRH he is somehow balancing the middle overs of the team. Manish Pandey’s non consistency also creates a headache for the team. His strike rate is also a major problem. Other than Maxwell none of the other batsmen in the middle order spends much time. He is providing runs but also he sometimes misfires and gets out early. Anuj Rawat and Suyash Prabhudesai still need to prove their worth to stick to the team.

Dinesh Karthik must be highly disappointed with his batting performance. His continuous low score was seen in all the matches and as a result the team couldn’t get many runs in the death overs. Mahipal Lomror who was previously seen in up the order now had been given a role of finishing but here also he failed to score. Axar Patel always shows his destructiveness in the death overs. He is the only player from capitals who is consistent making runs for the team no matter what the condition he always performs. Aman Hakim Khan also showed his talent against GT by scoring a half century in a low scoring match.

DC’s bowling is looking pretty much balanced by the addition of Ishant Sharma. His last over against GT provided a win for the team in a low scoring match. Khaleel Ahmed who played his first match after injury clinched two wickets. Kuldeep Yadav also does have a great record against Maxwell and might be introduced early on. Axar Patel is consistent with his bowling also, taking wickets with some economic spells.

RCB’s bowling also looks in some different levels against LSG. Josh Hazelwood played the first match of the season and took 2 wickets. Siraj is the leading wicket taker from his side. He already took 15 wickets in the tournament. Karn Sharma and Wanindu Hasaranga spin duo also start taking the wickets. Harshal Patel too getting his slower balls at the right place.
