Hardik returned to the squad in the last match against PBKS. The team is highly motivated by the win but Hardik doesn’t seem to be pretty happy with the team’s performance in the last match. He thought that the match shouldn’t be over till the last over.
Shubman Gill is in extreme form and he is also among the contenders of orange cap. He always gives a good start to the team and changes his gear after settling down. Sai Sudharsan’s performance in the recent matches is really terrific. His hard work pays off. David Miller as usual killing with his bat in the death overs. Hardik Pandya is still missing some touch in his batting but he gets in touch then everyone knows how dangerous he can be.
Rashid Khan always gives his full effort in bowling and as a result it clearly shows how much batsmen have to make an effort to make runs. He also took a hattrick against KKR. Mohd Shami, Alzarri Joseph and Joshua Little the speed guns of GT always provide crucial wickets when the team needs. Mohit Sharma who was introduced in place of Yash Dayal showed his experience in the last match and got awarded as man of the match.
In their last match, PBKS scored 153 runs in 20 overs. No one was able to score high runs. Matt Short (36 runs) was the highest scorer in the team. All the bowlers from GT take at least one wicket and Mohit Sharma picks two. While chasing with the help of Shubman Gill (67 runs) GT wins the match by 6 wickets with 1 ball left.

RR will have to face the team who takes away the trophy from their hand. Samson and the army are ready for this season to face the challenge. Trent Boult might return to the team after he missed the last match due to injury.
The three trio of RR Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Jos Butler always provides a strong start to the team. Butler firing innings at the start along with Jaiswal always gives the team a good partnership in the start. In the middle, Devdutt Padikkal is providing some valuable runs to the team. Shimron Hetmyer charges the team score at the death overs. They have a huge lineup of batsmen. Jason Holder and R Ashwin can also provide some useful runs to the team.
Yuzvendra Chahal again provided important wickets to the team. He is also the purple cap holder. He continued his last season form. Ashwin also helps him in the wicket taking process. He is not only economical but also takes wickets at regular intervals. Trent Boult through his economical bowling makes the team struggle for the runs.
In the last match, RR made 175/8 in 20 overs. Butler (52 runs), Padikkal (38 runs), Ashwin and Hetmyer both scored 30 runs each during RR batting. Jadeja, Akash Singh and Deshpande each took 2 wickets. In reply to this CSK posted 172/6, Conway scored 50 runs, Dhoni scored 32 runs and Rahane made 31 runs. Chahal and Ashwin both took 2 wickets each. As a result RR won the match by 3 runs.
