With two wins in a row CSK fans and the squad is highly motivated. If Dhoni is in the team then there is always a low possibility that the team will get demotivated. Team is doing well in both batting and bowling. Maheesh Theekshana and Matheesha Pathirana had already joined the squad and the former might play against RR.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is in extreme form and at the start of the season he already said that he wants to win this year’s IPL only for Dhoni. Ajinkya Rahane’s debut in CSK was a blastful one. Devon Conway also supports Gaikwad and these two put pressure on the opposition teams. There two wrist spinners Ravinder Jadeja and Mitchell Santner provided wickets at the right time. Their tight spells created panic to the opposition team. Ben Stokes and Deepak Chahar might not play due to their injuries.
In their last match against MI, CSK restricted MI to 157/8 due to tight bowling of Jadeja and Santner. Jadeja took 3 wickets while Santner took 2 wickets. In response to this Rahane blasted innings makes CSK wins easier. He made 61 runs in just 27 balls. Gaikwad contributed 40 runs to the team and Rayadu (20 runs) won the match for CSK.

RR just started their season with a win and now they won two and lost one. Samson is the same as Dhoni, he also remains cool and composed during tough situations and makes the team atmosphere healthy. They will play in Chennai which is CSK’s strong point but RR is the only team who can give tough fight to them since they are having the highest wicket takers in Chennai into their team i.e. Ashwin and Chahal.
Jos Butler, the beast who won last year’s orange cap continued his performance in this season also. His hard hitting ability is known by everyone. Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal, these two also made important runs for the team. These three contributed so much that RR had gone past 190+ in each innings of TATA IPL 2023. In their bowling department Trent Boult, Chahal and Ashwin provided early breaks to the team due to which they always had an upper hand. It is very hard to make runs against these three in this IPL.
In the last match against DC they posted 199/4 in 20 overs. Again brilliant knocks from Butler and Jaiswal at the start. Butler made 79 runs while Jaiswal made 60 runs. After that Hetmyer showed his beast form and made 39 runs off 21 balls. Then the bowlers of RR restrict DC to a score of 142/9 in 20 overs. Chahal and Boult took 3 wickets while Ashwin took 2 wickets.
RR strong performance against DC.
