KKR registered their first victory of the season against RCB by defeating them by a huge margin of 81 runs. Nitish Rana must be satisfied by the team since in both batting and bowling they excelled. Jason Roy is introduced in the squad but it makes Rana think more about whom he can replace by placing Roy into the team.
KKR batting struggled a little bit in the starting as the team was 89/5 at one phase but later recovered from the innings played by Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh. They both contributed 103 runs for the 6th wicket due to which KKR made a solid 204/7 at the end of the innings. Shardul Thakur made 68 runs in 29 balls, Rinku Singh made 46 runs in 33 balls and Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributed 57 runs in 44 balls.
Varun Chakravarthy shook off the RCB batting lineup and he grabbed 4 wickets and spent only 15 runs with an economy of 4.09. Not only Varun but also Narine makes RCB batsman in control by taking 2 wickets. Lastly a dream debut for Suyash Sharma as he grabbed 3 wickets of RCB.
GUJARAT TITANS (GT) analysis:
GT wants to make a winning hattrick by defeating KKR. They firstly defeated CSK in the opening match and then they defeated DC by 6 wickets to register their 2nd win streak in a row. Dasun Shanaka is also engaged with the squad in place of Willamson.
Rashid Khan’s limitless performance always makes the team win and restricts the opposition to score less runs. Against DC he took 3 wickets and also Shami contributed equally by taking the same number of wickets as Rashid takes. Alzarri Joseph takes 2 wickets to down DC completely to score more.
Sai Sudharsan 62 runs innings helps GT to win the match easily. He takes 48 balls to score the runs. David Miller again proves his worth by making 31 runs in 16 balls. He is back with his destruction.
