Match 11: NZ vs BAN| Match Analysis| Pitch Report| Best 11

The 11th match of the tournament will be played between New Zealand (NZ) and Bangladesh (BAN).

New Zealand is currently topping the table with 4 points (1.958) in 2 matches as they won both of their matches while Bangladesh is at 6th place with 2 points (-0.653) in 2 matches having won 1 and lost 1.

New Zealand (NZ) Analysis:

Kiwi openers are playing brilliantly. Devon Conway is looking very confident with his batting and scored 184 runs till now in 2 matches. Also hit a century in the opening match. Will Young got out on a zero in his first match but a bang on innings in his second match where he scored 70 runs and batted brilliantly. Both of them are capable of giving a solid start to the team.

Rachin Ravindra is looking in solid form in this World Cup as he hit back to back great knocks. In his first match he scored 123 runs and in the second one he scored 51 runs. He is justifying the absence of Kane Williamson with his tremendous batting. Also got some crucial wickets in his bowling. Kane Williamson is highly expected to be back in the playing 11 after fully recovering from the injury and regaining his fitness and will be seen leading the team.

Daryl Mitchell is a dependable batsman in the middle order and proves valuable runs whenever he comes to bat. Also he did open sometimes in which he batted brilliantly. Tom Latham must be feeling relaxed as firstly now he can concentrate fully on the keeping and secondly after scoring a half century in the last match must be a boon for him as he was struggling with the bat.

Glenn Phillips is the finisher for his team and has the power to hit big in the slog overs. Also he showed his wicket taking skills in this tournament. A great fielder from the side also. James Neesham is also a hard hitter with the bat but since he is little out of form he didn’t play the last match. Mark Chapman is a destructive batter having a strike rate more than 100 and can finish off the innings pretty well.

Mitchell Santner played a great all rounder innings in his last match where he scored 36 runs in just 17 balls and also took 5 wickets. Currently he is leading the chart of bowling with 7 wickets in 2 matches. Matt Henry also supported him well as he got 6 wickets in the same matches. He is currently in 3rd place. Trent Boult is using his experience and is a hard bowler who can convert the match figures easily with his bowling.

Lockie Ferguson made his comeback in the last match and can be a threat to the batman with his rocket firing deliveries. Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi are still to make their debut in this year’s World Cup. Sodhi might join the team if he will be fit for the match as the pitch is spin friendly.

Predicted 11 for the Match:

Kane Williamson ©, Devon Conway, Will Young, Tom Latham (wk), Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Matt Henry, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson/Ish Sodhi.

Bangladesh (BAN) Analysis:

Liton Das is getting his rhythm back and scored a brilliant half century against England in his last match. He is the top performer from the team with most runs scored since 2021. Also the most runs scored by a bangladesh player in this tournament till now with 89 runs. Tanzid Hasan on the other hand was unable to get a good start and contributed with only 5 & 1 runs. He needs to be more stable with the bat.

Najmul Hossain Shanto has shown some great innings in the recent few matches. Also he started with a half century in this World Cup but departed without scoring any runs against England. Shakib Al Hasan has failed to show any solid knock with his bat till now. But pretty much disciplined with the bowl as he took 4 wickets till now in the tournament.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz performed brilliantly in the first match in both the departments where he took 3 wickets and also scored 57 runs and became the Player of the Match. But in the last match he was not that effective in both the departments. Mushfiqur Rahim is the most experienced player from the team and he showed this against england where he scored 51 runs. Again he can show his talent with the bat.

Towhid Hridoy is a great finisher for the team and he showed this in his recent few matches. He is playing in the World Cup for the very time and will definitely want to show his spark in this. Mahedi Hasan was brought up in the last match against England and he bowled brilliantly by taking 4 wickets but with little expense. He replaced the experienced man Mahmudullah

Taskin Ahmed is the main frontline bowler for the team but still that rhythm for which he is known for is still missing. He got only 2 wickets till now in the tournament. Shoriful Islam is looking in great form and provided wickets in the death and also in the start. Also against England he almost got a hattrick but missed it. Mustafizur Rahman is missing his line and length which showed up in the last match. He needs to step up so that he can get wickets easily. Nasum Ahmed might also join the team as the pitch favours spin more than pacers.

Predicted 11 for the Match:

Shakib Al Hasan ©, Liton Das, Tanzid Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Towhid Hridoy, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman/Nasum Ahmed.

Pitch and Weather Report:

The match will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Pitch has more for the bowlers than the batters as the pitch acts slow in the second innings making batters hard to score runs. Spin bowlers are more effective than pacers but overall bowlers have an upper hand.

It will again remain a sunny day, as the temperature will be around 32 degree celsius while it may drop down to 26 degree celsius. But the humidity level will be more than 70 percent which makes the players sweat heavily.
