Last ball finished by Sri Lanka and made it to the Asia Cup finals

Nail Biting finish by Sri Lanka as Charith Asalanka took it to the finals. A neck to neck that goes till the last ball and finally Lankans made it. They won the match by 2 wickets by D/L method.  

The Final of the Asia Cup will be played between India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan scored 252/7 in 42 overs which Sri Lanka chased down in the last ball and scored 252/8 in 42 overs. 

Pakistan after winning the toss opted to field first.

When the match started it was limited to 45 overs per side due to the rain obstruction but as the match progressed it was again reduced to 42 overs due to rain disturbance.  

Fakhar Zaman (4 runs) poor performance with the bat carry on and he got out when the score was only 9 runs. Abdullah Shafique (52 runs) scores his first half century in an ODI international. He was well supported by Babar Azam (29 runs) from the other end. These two put up 64 runs for the 2nd wicket. Shafique hit 3 fours and 2 sixes in his knock. 

After the departure of Babar and Shafique the score suddenly went to 130 runs and they lost their main 5 batsmen. Then a strong and valuable partnership happened between Mohammad Rizwan (86 runs) and Iftikhar Ahmed (47 runs) of 108 runs. Rizwan remained unbeaten at the end and hit 6 fours and 2 sixes. 

At one point they were looking to 200 approx but due to Iftikhar and Rizwan partnership they managed to put 252 runs in 42 overs by losing 7 wickets.

Matheesha Pathirana got 3 wickets but he was expensive in his spell as he gave 65 runs in his 8 overs. Pramod Madushan grabbed 2 wickets. Dunith Wellalage and Maheesh Theekshana got 1 wicket.    

Sri Lanka loses their first wicket at the score of 20 runs. Kusal Perera (17 runs) was the first man dismissed. Pathum Nissanka (29 runs) started well but due as the asking run rate gets high he suddenly opted a wrong shot against Shadab Khan.

Then a solid partnership of 100 runs scored between Kusal Mendis (91 runs) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (48 runs) for the 3rd wicket. These two almost took away the momentum from the opposition. Their running between the wickets was too amazing and the conversion rates were also high. Mendis hit 8  fours and a six in his innings. 

After that Lankans just started losing wickets but Charith Asalanka (49 runs) made it possible for his team. In the last ball 2 runs were required and he made it. As a result they made 252 runs in 42 overs by losing 8 wickets. 

Iftikhar Ahmed took 3 wickets. Shaheen Afridi got 2 wickets. Shadab Khan settles with 1 wicket
