India’s superb finish against England, series ended 4-1

A full dominating performance by the Indian team, as they pulled up the 5th test by an innings and 64 runs. They left the English team stunned with their brilliant bowling performance. 

India added only 4 more runs to their day 2 total and got all out. They scored 477 runs in 124.1 overs. Kuldeep Yadav (30 runs) added 3 more runs and Jasprit Bumrah (20 runs) added only 1 run to their previous day. Therefore the total lead they got was 259 runs. 

Shoaib Bashir got 5 wickets, whereas James Anderson completed his 700 wickets mark and became the first pacer to touch the milestone. He is below Muttiah Muralidharan and Shane Warne. 

In the 2nd innings of the English team, they failed miserably with their batting performance. Joe Root (84 runs) was the highest scorer from the side. He played 128 balls in which he hit 12 boundaries. He was the last man who got dismissed. The time Root was there in the crease, he tried to get par the lead runs but unfortunately he failed. 

Jonny Bairstow (39 runs) also provided some destruction with his batting. He took 31 balls to reach and hit 3 fours and 3 sixes but again he failed to convert his knock into a big one.

Shoaib Bashir (13 runs) also helped Root as they both managed 48 runs for the 9th wicket. In the end the whole team only managed 195 runs in 48.1 overs. 

Ravichandran Ashwin bowled brilliantly as he took 5 wickets in his pocket. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav got 2 wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja got 1 wicket.
