Indian Team announced for the T20 matches against West Indies.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma got their maiden call against West Indies. They were included in the 15 member squad. Hardik Pandya will lead the team while Suryakumar Yadav will be appointed as vice-captain of the team.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were again not featured in the T20 format. They were last seen playing in this format in 2022.

India will play 5 T20’s, starting from 3rd August and will end on 13th August. First three matches will be played in the West Indies while the last two will be in the USA.

Tilak Varma, the Mumbai Indians guy, showed a lot of talent in this year’s IPL. He was pretty consistent with his performance and he showed that he can bat in any position. In between the IPL he was injured but later he healed up and again showed his destruction through his batting. A young talent from Hyderabad will execute his batting performance in the shortest format.

While Yashasvi Jaiswal already gets a call for the Test against West Indies and now he will make his debut in the same series in the shortest format. Jaiswal was a highly aggressive batsman and his destruction was seen in this year’s IPL, where he came to open and start hitting from the very first ball. He is also in the list of top 10 run getters this season of IPL.

Rinku Singh who showed some brilliant innings in the death overs was not selected against West Indies. He is the one whom people think will be seen in the T20. But he along with Jitesh Sharma is expected to make their debuts against Ireland which will happen after the West Indies tour. Jitesh Sharma played for Punjab Kings in the IPL as a keeper-batsman but due to the selection of Samson and Ishan he did not get a chance.
