After 34-years, the Asia Cup is returned back to India but the format will be in T20. Last time India hosted the event was in 1990. The shortest format will take place in 2025.
Whereas the 50-over format will be held in Bangladesh in 2027. There will be 6 teams that will be participating in the event – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and the sixth team will mark their place through the qualifiers.
The dates are not specified yet but according to some reports it might be played close to in the month of September next year. Last time the Asia Cup was jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Men In Blue emerged as the champion of the 2023 season, where they beat Lankans in the final by 10 wickets.
