India made their place in the Super 8

India got their seat reserved for the Super 8 round after beating USA by 7 wickets. 

USA scored 110/8 in 20 overs and India in reply posted 111/3 in 18.2 overs. 

Both the teams registered victory in their last encounters. Both the victories came against Pakistan. India defeated Pakistan in a close encounter whereas USA won the Super Over against Pakistan. 

Rohit Sharma, after winning the toss, opted to bowl first. 

Nitish Kumar was the highest scorer from the side as he scored 27 runs in 23 balls and hit 3 fours and a six. Steven Taylor at the start got some handy shots and scored 24 runs but took 30 balls to reach there. 

Hard hitter Corey Anderson scored 15 runs while the in form batter Aaron Jones who did the leadership role for the team in this match due to unavailability of Monank Patel due to the niggle, scored 11 runs in 22 balls.  

Arshdeep Singh got his best bowling in T20 international after grabbing 4 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 9 runs. Hardik Pandya got 2 wickets while Axar Patel got 1 wicket.

At the start, Indians struggled a bit as they lost 3 early wickets in just 39 runs. Virat Kohli struggled with the bat and got out on a golden duck. Rohit managed only 3 runs. 

After them, a solid and unbeaten partnership for the 4th wicket was made between Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube of 72 runs. Suryakumar scored unbeaten 50 runs in 49 balls and hit 2 fours and 2 sixes whereas Dube scored 31 runs in 35 balls and hit one four and one six. 

Saurabh Netravalkar once again shines with the bowl as he got 2 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 18 runs. Ali Khan got 1 wicket.
