Gambhir’s shocking response to the Kohli-Naveen hug

The fight between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq that started in the IPL (Indian Premier League) is now settled down in the World Cup. Both of them hugged each other during the Indian batting innings.

This moment was cherished by the fans so much. It was also a much awaited match as the rivalry between Virat and Naveen is all wanted to watch.

Gautam Gambhir was the commentator in the Hindi panel of the India-Afghanistan match and also the mentor of the team of the LSG (Lucknow Super Giants), where this Afghan pacer played. He seemed to be happy that the things between the players are sorted and also commented that the rivalry should be left only for that and after that no harsh feeling must be there after the match.

He said, “Every player should target the pride, respect and win for the country, whosoever will be a player either on a high level or starting level, he will fight for his team. The rivalry must be only in the match and after the match there should not be any rivalry between the players.”

The match between the two Asian countries was won by India by 8 wickets. Afghanistan scored 272/8 in 50 overs and in reply with a brilliant century by Rohit, India chased down the target easily in 35 overs and scored 273/2.

Rohit Sharma showed a mic drop performance as he created huge records in the match. Firstly he hit the most sixes hit by a player in international cricket. Secondly, the fastest century (63 balls) by an Indian in the World Cup, breaking the previous record of Kapil Dev (72 balls). He scored the fastest 1000 runs in the WC, joining the record with David Warner. Both of them took 19 innings to reach there. Also the most centuries (7) by a batsman in the tournament.
