Ex-RCB coach joins Cricket Australia as bowling coach

Adam Griffith has now been assigned as the new bowling coach for Cricket Australia (CA). He will develop and shape the pace attack of the bowlers, which ultimately will help the senior Men’s and A team.

Griffith is having a huge coaching experience. He is currently associated with the national team, Victoria, where he is serving in the same role. Before that he used to coach Tasmania and Hobart Hurricanes. He was also a senior assistant coach of Perth Scorchers where he was under the head coach of Justin Langer.

In RCB, he was there for a very long time (2020 – 2024), where he was replaced by Omkar Salvi who was recently got appointed.

Andrew McDonald, senior head coach of Men’s Australia said, “I’m delighted Adam will bring his extensive experience to Cricket Australia as National Pace Bowling Coach and become an important part of our coaching set up. Adam’s expertise across all formats will be invaluable in the preparation of pace bowlers for Australia’s national men’s teams.”

The senior men’s team has faced a lot of injuries in recent times. In their last test series (Border-Gavaskar trophy) Josh Hazlewood got injured, whereas Jhye Richardson and Cameron Green are recovering from their injuries. The addition of Adam will help these pacers to get back the rhythm in proper time.

He will be the bowling coach of the senior Men’s team in absence of Daniel Vettori (Australia’s bowling coach). Vettori has been associated with different franchises and due to his commitment he might miss some series in future.
