Teams Analysis

England (ENG):

The defending champion at the start looked like there might be a problem for them to get into the Super 8 round. But after back to back two wins in the last two matches they got the opportunity to mark their place in the next round. One of the main things that need to be little consideration is the consistency which is little lacking from the side.

In their batting unit, Harry Brook is currently their top scorer with 67 runs. His strike rate is 186.11 and played an important knock against Namibia where he scored 47 runs in just 20 balls and took his team to a defendable total. Skipper Jos Buttler has managed 66 runs till now and has a strike rate of 165. His best came against Australia where he scored super fast 42 runs in just 28 balls.

His opening partner, Phil Salt who is known for striking from the start has a strike rate of 176.47 and managed 60 runs till now. He needs to spend a little more time in the crease so that the team can get more scores on the board.

All-rounders Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone have performed decently till now. In the batting department Moeen scored 41 runs with a strike rate of 195.24 while Livingstone managed 28 runs with a strike rate of 175. Both of them got 1 wicket each till now.

Looking at their bowling unit, Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer got 5 wickets each. Rashid bowled an important spell in the last match where he grabbed 4 wickets by giving away just 11 runs in his 4 overs of spell, and got his team a great victory by a clean margin. On the other hand, Archer has an economy of 5.91 and looked more aggressive in the death overs.

Other Pacers Chris Jordan and Mark Wood got 3 wickets each till now.

He missed his century by just 2 runs. He is current;y team’s leading run scorer with 164 runs to his credit and has a strike rate of 150.46. He is currently 2nd in the list of most run scorers in this T20 World Cup

Pitch Report for the match between England (ENG) and West Indies (WI):

The match will be played at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia. The square boundaries are 63m to one side and 72m to the other side. Looks like a fantastic wicket, the three previous games have been high-scoring. There’s a nice even covering of grass, there are a few cracks but they are not moving that much. There’s going to be a good bounce on this wicket. So chasing might be a good option here after winning the toss.

Weather Report:

The weather is expected to be clear for most of the time but there is an expectancy of 20% rain, but it will not damage the match much if it does happen. Humidity might be little less than 70%. The highest temperature may be 31 degree celsius during the daytime while the lowest may be recorded as 26 degree celsius during night.
