Australian pacer is set to return to IPL after 9 years

Mitchell Starc, famous and dangerous Australian speedstar is thinking of putting his name in the next year IPL.

He was last seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2015. Then he was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping amount of 9.4 crores in 2018, but he remained unavailable due to injury. Later he himself opted out from the world’s richest league so that he can focus more on international matches for his country.

Now since the T20 World Cup will be played in the next year in West Indies and USA, therefore he wants to make his name into the list of the auction players so that if he gets selected in the IPL and able to play, then it will be to his benefit so that he can performed better in the T20 World Cup.

In a recent Podcast with Willow Talk Cricket Mitchell Starc says,

“Look, it’s been eight years. I am definitely going back next year. Amongst other things, it’s a great lead up to the T20 World Cup. So a good opportunity to see if anyone’s interested in the IPL, then lead into the T20 World Cup. And it’s somewhat of a quiet winter next year in comparison to this winter, so I think it’s a perfect opportunity to put my name in.”

Related to his 100th Test match he added,

“Not just to get to 100, I would like to be good enough to be picked for 100 Tests. And then the big one obviously in a couple of weeks is the World Cup, which in India just goes to another level.“
