Australia announced their 15 member provisional squad for the 2023 World Cup. Pat Cummins will lead the team.
One of the main tensions for the Kangaroos will be the injuries of their key players. Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc and Steven Smith are injured, but the management is confident that they all get fit before the ODI WC.
Their squad is the same as that which will be playing against India and South Africa except Aaron Hardie, Tanveer Sangha and Nathan Ellis are the only players who didn’t make it to final squad selection.
The Indian Team squad and South Africa squad have already been announced for the WC.
Australia chief selector, George Bailey said, “All are well placed to come back online in the coming weeks and potentially for selection in the upcoming series against India. There are 8 one day matches still to play in South Africa and India before the final squad is due to be declared. They are followed by two World Cup practice games, which offers plenty of opportunity to continue the build for the tournament.”
Last date for change of squad is 28th September after that no team can change their squad.
