Ab de Villiers predicts the top 4 of the World Cup

Former destructive South African Batsman, AB de Villiers recently tells whom he thinks that will be the Semi Finalist teams in the 2023 World Cup. He thinks India, England, Australia and SOuth Africa might make it to the Semi Final.

Recently after a few changes of some matches in the World Cup 2023 schedule the tournament will start from 5th October. South Africa will play their 1st match for the tournament on 7th October against Sri Lanka in Delhi.

Mr 360° who hits the fastest ODI century in 31 balls believes that India being the favourite will reach the Semi Final easily along with the defending champion England and most times World Cup winner Australia. He also wants his team to also go through the top 4 stage. He also tells Pakistan might also have some chances but finally he put his home team in the top 4 spot over Pakistan.

During the Q&A in a youtube channel, Ab de Villiers tells,

“Definitely India, I think they will go on to win it over there again. It’s going to be a fairy tale World Cup. India, England and Australia got to go with the big three. Then I want to go with South Africa, even though Pakistan has a really good chance as well. So the fourth team will be South Africa.

I’ve gone with three non sub continent teams there, which is very risky. But I am going to stick to it because I think the wickets will be good. I don’t think the World Cup is going to see bad wickets during the duration of the tournament.”

He further added that India and England might be the two teams who will be seen in the final. But still he wants to see his home team in the final which might be difficult for them to achieve.

“England and India in the final. If they can find each other in that final, it will be fantastic, even though I really want my South African boys to be there.

I don’t think it’s going to be easy for them, but never say never. This is the World Cup in which there are the least expectations from South Africa, and that might boost them. They are a very talented and a very underrated team.”
