A Tribute to Virat Kohli Stellar Contributions- thought Sehwag in the 2023 World Cup.

Recently Sehwag said that the Indian Team will play the 2023 World Cup for Virat Kohli as his contribution for the Indian Team is too high.

In 2011, he mentioned that during the World Cup the whole team India played to win for Sachin Tendulkar as a tribute to him. During that time also the World Cup was being played in Asian countries and the final was played in Mumbai, India and they won it. In the same process this time the World Cup will be played in India and it’s a perfect time for team India to tribute Kohli with a World Cup. Schedule is already revealed and high intensity matches are expected.

During 2011 winning moments it was shown how Kohli took Sachin on his shoulder and roamed around the ground.

In the ICC schedule launch event Sehwag said, “We played that World Cup for Tendulkar. If we won the World Cup it would have been a great exit for Sachin paaji. Virat Kohli is the same now. Everybody will look to win the world Cup for him. He always gives more than 100 percent. I think Virat Kohli is looking forward to this World Cup. One lakh people will watch you at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Virat knows how the pitches will behave. I am sure he will score a lot of runs and he will do his best to win the World cup for India.

About the Ind vs Pak match he said, “Everybody wants to look forward to that India-Pakistan game. So even I am.”

On winner prediction and pressure handled by the player he added, “I’m not sure what will happen that day, but the team that handles pressure well will win. I feel that now India handles the pressure that is why they win whereas Pakistan have a burden that they haven’t won against India. In the 1990’s they were good at dealing with pressure but after 2000, India soaked it in better. If any player says that they dont feel pressure, I don’t think it’s right. We used to say it too but at the end of the day, we know it’s an India vs Pakistan game and emotions run high.

For the Semi Finals team he predicted, “If I have to pick four teams- Australia, England, India and Pakistan. These are the semi finalists.”
