Big miss! Bangladesh reveal squad axed star all-rounder

Bangladesh has now announced their 15 members squad for the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy. Nazmul Hossain will lead the 15 members squad. 

The team is in Group A along with India, Pakistan and New Zealand. The Men in Black has already revealed their playing 11. 

Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was not able to mark his name into the squad. Earlier he was unable to clear his bowling action for the second time in a row. However he can bat anywhere either national or international. But his recent re-assessment of his bowling action took place at the Sri Ramachandra Centre for Sports Science in Chennai in the last month, where he was not able to clear. 

Also the top order batter, Liton Das, also missed from the list. Due to his poor performance in the recent white ball cricket makes him out from the list. He averages 13.13 in the ODIs in 2024. 

Opener Soumya Sarkar who recently got a finger injury in the  ongoing BPL, due to which he parted ways from the remaining matches of the tournament, has got the place into the 15. The other opener Tanzid Hasan also got the name into the list, despite his poor performances in the recent series.   

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be having a huge responsibility in the all-rounder section as the veteran all-rounder couldn’t make it into the list. Experienced Mushfiqur Rahim will once again have the responsibility of the middle-order along with Towhid Hridoy.

Jaker Ali’s tremendous performance in the last one year got his name into the list. 

Mustafizur Rahman who is currently lost his touch from the death overs specialist got the place who will be assisted well by Nahid Rana who is recently seen in top notch form in the ongoing BPL and the past few series. The experienced Taskin Ahmed will be the leader of their pace attack.

Spinning attack will be seen from Nasum Ahmed.
