Huge setback for India: Bumrah out of Champions Trophy

Indian team might face a huge blow ahead the Champions Trophy as their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is set to miss the group matches in the tournament. 

Bumrah who was the man of the series in the Border-Gavaskar trophy where he got 32 wickets, has picked back spasm in the 5th and final test of the series due to which he was unable to bowl in the 2nd innings. Due to the back spasm his back has swelled up.  

Now according to reports of The Indian Express, the star pacer of the team might not be available during the group matches of the Champions Trophy. He has been ordered to show his fitness in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where his fitness will be closely monitored.

Some sources also revealed that he might get fully fit in the first week of March. 

This creates a huge chaos among the fans and also the selectors are in a fix whether to take him in the squad or not. It is expected that BCCI will shortly notify their squad for the upcoming ICC tournament and the last date to make any changes into the squad will be February 12th. 

India is in Group A where they will be seen along with Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh. Their first match will be against Bangladesh in Dubai on February 20th. Kiwis had already announced their squad for the CT2025.
