Ex-Pakistan Captain blasts Gambhir, Agarkar Over Hardik

A lot of former players showed their concern for not making Hardik Pandya as the next T20 skipper of India. Suryakumar Yadav got the opportunity to lead the team in the upcoming T20 series against Sri Lanka.

Now former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif showed his anger over the decision made by the selection committee of India. He is willing to see Hardik as the next skipper of India in the shortest format. He slams the new head coach and the chief selector for this decision of making Surya as the captain. He said,

“No, here they (the claims) just hand him a certificate saying he isn’t fit and there are concerns about his fitness. There are plenty of players who weren’t super fit but still became great captains. So, I think it was just an excuse. Because if Surya wasn’t around, then Rishabh Pant would have been the captain since you have to look at the future.”

When the BCCI announced the team, there was a huge chaos of why not take Pandya as the leadership role despite him being in the team. To this Ajit Agarkar (chief selector of India) replied that the management wanted a fit player who will be available throughout the year and also the decision was taken after talking with all the players of the team.

Men In Blue is going to face Sri Lanka in 3 T20s and 3 ODIs. The 20-over format will be led by Surya whereas the 50-over format will be led by Rohit Sharma.
