Bangladesh got a superb victory against Sri Lanka after defeating them in a close margin by 2 wickets.
It was Lankans back to back losses in this tournament, earlier they got the defeat in the hands of South Africa.

Sri Lanka scored only 124/9 in 20 overs and in reply Bangladesh posted 125/8 in 19 overs.
Pathum Nissanka gave Lanka a destructive start as he scored 47 runs in just 28 balls. In his knock he hit 7 fours and a six. He was the highest scorer from the side. Except him, none of the other batters looked comfortable in front of the Bengal bowlers.
Dhananjaya de Silva got some hands with the bat after scoring 21 runs, but he took 26 balls to reach there.
Mustafizur Rahman continued his brilliant form and grabbed 3 wickets for the team after conceding 17 runs in 4 overs. Rishad Hossain also got 3 wickets in his 4 overs by giving away only 22 runs. Taskin Ahmed got 2 wickets while Tanzim Hasan Shakib got 1 wicket.
In the chase, Bengal team lost 3 early wickets at just 28 runs. After that a hard fighting partnership of 63 runs for the 4th wicket generated between Liton Das and Towid Hridoy. Das approached the defensive line and scored 36 runs in 38 balls whereas Hridoy adopted the aggressive approach and scored 40 runs in 20 balls.
After the departure of these two batters, the team struggled again and at one point of time they lost 8 wickets at the score of 113 and marched towards a loss. But Mahmudullah showed his experience there and scored an unbeaten knock of 16 runs in 13 balls and took his team to a great win.
Nuwan Thushara was the man who made his team a brilliant comeback in the last moments but unfortunately didn’t take victory for his team. He bowled 4 overs and got 4 wickets after conceding 18 runs only. Skipper Wanindy Hasaranga got 2 wickets whereas Matheesha Pathirana and Dhananjaya de Silva got 1 wicket each.
