The 2009 T20 World Cup champion will play their first time in the tournament. They are one of the favourites in this tournament. This time they have a lot of experience in the squad which will take them to the further stages.
Once again the leader will be Babar Azam, who has a lot of experience in this format and currently the best batter for the team. He has scored over 4000 runs and made 3 centuries and 36 half-centuries till now. His strike rate is 130.15. He is known for rotating the strike and not as a power hitter. But his presence makes it count for the team.
The opener of the team, Mohammad Rizwan, is a brilliant batter and known to convert the runs easily. He has an average of close to 50 in this shortest format and managed one century and 28 half-centuries till now in 98 matches. Fakhar Zaman is known for his power hitting in the middle overs and has a strike rate of 133.45. He also looked good in recent past performances and the team is expecting the same from him.
Iftikhar Ahmed and keeper Azam Khan will take the middle order dependency. Both of them have the capacity to go hard in the death overs but their recent performances are not up to the mark, especially Azam who failed to convert his innings to a big one.
Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim are the two spin all-rounders of the team. These two will take the charge in the death overs and are well known for their power hittings. Shadab has a strike rate of over 140 and Imad has 134.76. Imad will be playing for the country after a long time while Shadab is comparatively a consistent performer from the side in both the departments.
The pace attack will be charged by Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir. Amir also came into the team after a long time and his experience will definitely help the team in winning the trophy as he was there in the 2009 winning team.

This team started the season with a blasting victory over Canada. At the start it was like that they might not be able to chase down the target but their batter Aaron Jones the glimpse of his destructive side. Their batting was looking too good but they need to do a little better in their bowling department.
Skipper Monak Patel is also the keeper of the team and is known for giving a solid start to the team but in the first match he didn’t do much and only scored 16 runs. While his partner Steven Taylor is known for the destruction from the start, he failed to do this in the first match as he got out on a duck. Despite this he can easily change the stats in the remaining matches.
Aaron Jones though didn’t have a great strike rate in T20 internationals which is 116.87, but in the first match his heroics where he scored an unbeaten knock of 94 runs in 40 balls, took his team to a great victory. He smashed 10 sixes in that innings, equalling the most sixes in a T20 World Cup. He can be a definite danger to the Pak players. Andries Gous also played a handy knock in that match after scoring 65 runs. He is known for his hard hitting and that he already showed there.
Experienced Corey Anderson didn’t get much chance to bat as he scored only 3 runs in 5 balls at the end. Also he took one wicket in that match. He is a well known all-rounder from New Zealand and contributed many winning knocks for the team.
Indian player Harmeet Singh was brilliant with the bowl as he took 1 wicket in his 4 overs spell after giving away 27 balls. Ali Khan their main pacer also got one wicket but was little expensive in his spell as he gave away 41 runs in his spell.
