Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Zaka Ashraf recently said India as an ‘enemy nation’ which he now changes his statement by saying that the match between the both the countries emerged as ‘traditional rivals, not ‘enemies’.
Earlier Pakistan reached India for the World Cup and they received a warm welcome from the host country. As soon as the team reached, PCB Chairman announced a salary hike for the players by saying that it will help the players who will play the World Cup in the ‘enemy nation’.
Soon after his statement it creates some chaos between both the countries. As the matter was getting intense now the PCB has released a statement over the Ashraf statement.
“This love was evident by the reception arranged at the Hyderabad airport. Zaka Ashraf personally congratulated the Indians over arranging a reception of this kind. He mentioned that whenever India and Pakistan step onto the cricket field, they emerge as traditional rivals not as enemies.
Chairman Management Committee also emphasised that cricket between India and Pakistan have always been the center of global attention which is why cricket between the two countries is considered more significant than the other contest in these sports.”
India-Pakistan will meet on 14th October, earlier the match was to be held on 15th October but due to the security issue during the Navratri it was shifted to 14th October.
