One of the famous Australian leg spinners Stuart MacGill was charged with drug supply. He played for Australia from 1998-2008 and had taken 214 international wickets (208 in tests and 6 in ODIs).
The incident occurred back in 2021, when MacGill confronted police that he was being kidnapped and was forced to a car in the Sydney suburb of Cremorne. After that he was taken to a lonely place and was beaten by them and was threatened at gunpoint and then they drove him back to an unknown location and released.
He got some injuries at that time and six people were charged and one of them was his wife’s brother at that time.
Now after two years police found out that Stuart MacGill was involved in a drug racket where the prohibited drugs were sold. One of the local media also claims that the deal of cocaine was more than $300,000.
Now MacGill has been released on bail and he has to make his appearance in court on 26th October.
