Saim Ayub, GAW, Player of the Match

“I am enjoying it, the team environment is very good. Always enjoy the Caribbean environment. It’s a part of cricket. I try to enjoy every bit of it. Credit to the batters for participating in this chase. Hope is an experienced guy, it was nice to bat with him.”

Kieron Pollard, TKR Captain

You try different things, we had a plan. AKeal did a brilliant job, he played a fantastic innings. One loss is not going to make us concerned. We have been batting brilliantly. Nothing is concerned right now. We have been playing some good cricket. These things happen, we are going to take some time off and come back strong. You can look at different things and say we were 10-15 runs short but for us it’s about knowing where we went wrong. We are going to reflect and come back strong.”

Imran Tahir, GAW Captain

“It was a fantastic game, happy to be on the winning side, the boys played really well. Was very pleased. I was sure if we improved from the game we could win. We spoke about the openers playing out there a little longer and we knew that would bring success. Ayub is a great player. We got him in and it was nice to see him get a good score.

Shai Hope is one of the best batters out there. Azam Khan is very energetic and he can take some good catches. Great performance, everyone went in and chipped in. Was great to play in front of such a crowd, I would like to thank all our supporters.”
