Ambati Rayudu who played for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SNP) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 has left his team in between the tournament due to personal reasons.
He is the second Indian player after Pravin Tambe who participated in the CPL. In this tournament, Rayudu managed to score only 47 runs only with a strike rate of 117.50. His highest score was 32 runs against Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) but unfortunately SNP lost the match by 65 runs . He already retired from the international and domestic circuit this year after playing his last match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Another setback for the SNP arises, as their one more player Blessing Muzarabani also leaves the team due to personal reasons. Muzarabani played three matches and took only one wicket with a bowling average of 69.00.
Benny Howell and Will Smeed will be the replacements for Rayudu and Muzarabani.
SNP is the only team in this tournament who didn’t win a single match till now and had 2 points in 6 matches with 4 losses. Their net rate is also negative and is 1.883. They are last in the points table.
