Chennai openers are one of the best in this season. Gaikwad and Conway put solid runs in the starting. They both are strong contenders for the orange cap. Shivam Dube again showed his fierce batting. Rahane is also going good this season. His strike rate is too high. Rayudu is continuously flopping in his batting. Moeen, Jadeja and Dhoni showing great hands towards the death overs.
Due to so many injuries, the team is facing many problems in terms of bowling. Jadeja is mostly consistent with his performance. Despande is providing so many runs especially in the death overs. Pathirana started the season with some good economic spells but later on he conceded too many runs. Theekshana is providing some good spells but he needs to be more consistent.

Dhawan’s return to the team could not be beneficial to the team. Atharva Taide finally shows his blastful innings. He scored 66 runs. Raza started his innings with some fireworks but the chasing runs were so high that he couldn’t convert into a big one. Livingstone once again couldn’t stand the expectation. Curran took out early after trying some lofted shots.
Bowlers were brutally beaten by the LSG batsmen. None of the bowlers remain untouched by the hard hitting knocks. Rabada came back to his team and didn’t get a warm welcome. Despite getting 2 wickets he was going too expensive. Arshdeep, Curran and Rahul Chahar all were going too expensive in their spells.
