2023 World Cup Grand Finale Cup of this Indian Bowler.

India’s one of the most successful and dominating wrist spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently said that this World Cup will be his last one. 

He replaced Axar Patel in the squad who got injured during the Asia Cup in their last Super Four match which was against Bangladesh. 

He played in the 2011 and 2015 World Cup but missed the 2019. A highly prominent off spinner who shows his great caliber in the Test matches and also one of the toughest spinner in Indian pitches to crack on. 

Till now he played in 10 matches in the World Cup and grabbed 17 wickets with an economy of under 5 (4.36). His best figures in the World Cup was 4/25.   

Recently in an interview when asked about the whether he thought about playing ij this tournament few months back he replied,

“I would have said that you are joking. Honestly I did not think I would be here.”

Related to the new variations he tried he added, 

“All you can do is turn the ball both ways, and I think I can do it. Dealing with pressure is paramount in these tournaments and it will dictate how the tournament goes. Being in a good space, enjoying this tournament will keep me in good stead. This could be my last World Cup for India, so enjoying the tournament is of utmost importance.”  

He was included in the ODI series against Australia where he made his comeback after approx 2 years. In the first ODI he took 1 wicket while in the 2nd ODI he grabbed 3 important wickets.
