Quinton de Kock (114 runs) and his scoring hundred in this World Cup is going consistently and hit his 4th in the tournament. He just tore apart everything and became the first Proteas batsman to score 500+ runs in the World Cup. He along with Rassie van der Dussen (133 runs) made a partnership of 200 runs. Rassie hit his 2nd in the tournament.
In the end David Miller (53 runs) scored his first half century of the tournament. He played just 30 balls and hit 2 fours and 4 sixes and took his team to 357 runs in 50 overs by losing just 4 wickets.
Tim Southee got 2 wickets. While Trent Boult and Jimmy Neesham got 1 wicket each.
During the chase, the Kiwis were not looking strong in their batting performance. Glenn Phillips (60 runs) alone tried to shorten the run difference but it was too huge to get close to it. Eventually all the players got submitted in 35.3 overs and scored only 167 runs.
Keshav Maharaj bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets while Marco Jansen took 3 wickets. Gerald Coetzee claimed 2 wickets while Kagiso Rabada took 1 wicket.
