Indian head coach, Gautam Gambhir didn’t get the desired result as it was expected. Under his coaching the team didn’t get the momentum which resulted in back to back losses.
Now a shocking revelation comes under the report of PTI that Gautam Gambhir was not considered as a priority of a head coach. This creates a huge chaos among the Indian fans.
After back to back losses, a report of PTI suggested that, “He (Gambhir) was never BCCI’s first choice (it was VVS Laxman) and some of the well-known overseas names didn’t want to coach all three formats, so he was a compromise. Obviously, some other compulsions were also there.”
Under the guidance of coach Gautam, India lost the series against Sri Lanka and then they lost the recent test series against New Zealand (3-0) on their home ground. Now the team is 2-1 against Australia and the last match will be started on Jan 3rd at Sydney.
The report also suggested that if the performance of the team will not improve after the final test (Sydney) and in the Champions Trophy (starts from Feb 19th), then there might be a committee deciding the future of the Indian head coach. Not only this the other coaching staff might also get scrutiny if the desired results are not achieved.
Also recently, there were some rumors that the atmosphere inside the dressing room is not good after the failure of the MCG test and Gautam got annoyed at some players who didn’t perform well in the series till now, which includes some senior players also.
