Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is maintaining their Playoffs berth after defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by 47 runs. It is the 5th back to back win for Bengaluru.
Royal Challengers scored 187/9 in 20 overs and in reply Capitals scored 140/10 in 19.1 overs.
Both the teams tasted victories in their respective matches. Bangalore got a great win against Punjab with the help of Virat Kohli’s destructive fifty while Delhi turned the match against Rajasthan from back foot to front foot.
After winning the toss, Axar Patel (in absence of Rishabh Pant) opted to bowl first.
Rajat Patidar and Will Jacks got a partnership of 92 runs for the 3rd wicket. Patidar broke the jinx at Chinnaswamy and scored a brilliant half century after scoring 52 runs in 32 balls. He hit 3 fours and 3 sixes in his knock. Jacks scored 41 runs in 29 balls.
Cameron Green’s unbeaten 32 runs knock took the team score close to 190.
Rasikh Dar Salam and Khaleel Ahmed got 2 wickets each. Ishant Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar got 1 wicket each.
A huge troubling in the chase, As Delhi lost 4 wickets in just 30 runs on the board. Then Shai Hope (29 runs) and skipper Axar Patel held the momentum for some time. Axar hit his 2nd half-century in this season and scored 57 runs in 39 balls in which he hit 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Yash Dayal bowled superbly well and grabbed 3 wickets in his 3.1 overs by giving away only 20 runs. Lockie Ferguson got 2 wickets while Mohammad Siraj, Cameron Green and Swapnil Singh got 1 wicket each.
