Netherlands got their 2nd victory of the tournament after defeating Bangladesh by 87 runs. They are becoming far better and better in the tournament.
Netherlands posted 229/10 in 50 overs and in reply Bangladesh managed only 142/10 in 42.2 overs.
After winning the toss, Dutch skipper Scott Edwards opted to bat first.
The Dutch team lost both of their openers in just 4 runs. Then Wesley Barresi (41 runs) and Colin Ackermann (15 runs) provided a 59 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket. After that the skipper Scott Edwards (68 runs) played a superb knock to set their team to a competitive total. He scored his 2nd half century in the World Cup. He hit 6 boundaries in his inning.
In the end, Sybrand Engelbrecht (35 runs) and Logan van Beek (23 runs not out) played some good shots and posted a total of 229 in 50 overs by losing all of their wickets.
Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Mahedi Hasan got 2 wickets each while Shakib Al Hasan got 1 wicket.
During the chase, Bengal Tigers were unable to make partnerships which ultimately cost them the match. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (35 runs) was the highest scorer from the side. In the end with the help of tail-enders they managed to put 142 runs in 42.2 overs by losing all their wickets.
Bowlers did a commendable job by restricting them to a below par score. Paul van Meekeren got most wickets for his team, 4 wickets. Bas de Leede claimed 2 wickets while Logan van Beek, Colin Ackermann and Aryan Dutt got 1 wicket each.
