Netherlands announced their 2023 World Cup squad

Netherlands revealed their 15 member squad for the World Cup. Scott Edwards will lead the team. 

After India, South Africa and Australia they became the 4th team to announce their squad for the World Cup.

They included two experienced players – Roelof Van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann. They were not included in the 15 member squad during the World Cup Qualifier. But the experience these two carries will definitely help the team to maintain a great balance. 

Ryan Cook, head coach of Netherlands, said, “Obviously Fred would be gutted to miss out. He would have been a part of the bowling attack.” 

Fred Klassen their left arm pacer who is not included into the team due to the stress fracture. 

Before their first match of the World Cup, they will play two warm up matches one against Australia on 30th September while on 3rd October they meet the home team India. Their first match for the tournament will start on 6th October against Pakistan in Hyderabad.
