Match 58: LSG vs SRH| Best 11| Game Analysis| Pitch Report.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will meet Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Lucknow is at 5th and Hyderabad is at 9th in the points table

LSG is presently at 11 points and their qualification chances for the playoffs are too high. SRH is in must win condition to make their place for qualification and that too with high margins. SRH is at 8 points.

In the absence of KL Rahul, de Kock got his first chance to play and he utilized the chance well. He made 70 runs in 41 balls. He clinically hits the balls. Kyle Mayers is the highest team scorer this season till now. He made 359 runs till now. He is mostly seen in destruction and is highly consistent among the team players. Lucknow might be relieved after the team got the perfect opening partnership which the team is lagging.

Abhishek Sharma gives a solid start to Sunrisers and he is the only player in the team who is contributing something to the team in the opening. He scored a half century against RR. Anmolpreet Singh who also got a chance to play as a opener contributed 33 runs against RR. His performance was far better than the previous openers whether it was Harry Brook or Mayank Agarwal

Deepak Hooda must be highly disappointed with his performance . He couldn’t score a half century in this tournament. His stats this season are very poor. He needs to be highly consistent with his performance. Last year he gave the team great contribution with his batting but this year he is missing the start. Krunal Pandya also didn’t get some good knocks this year. He also gets out cheaply without scoring many runs. Marcus Stoinis who has the power to change the scoreboard within a few balls is not consistent with his batting.

Rahul Tripathi too shows some poor runs in most of the matches. In this last match though he scored 47 runs but he needs to be more accurate in his shot selection. He has great ability to carry the scoreboard but his inconsistency makes it difficult for the team. Aiden Markram on the other hand shows some good knocks at the early stages but later on as the tournament progresses his runs decrease. He is the captain of the team and needs to spend more time on the pitch.

Nicholas Pooran also provides some good knocks in the early stages. Later on he mostly misfires and gets out early. Team needs him at the death overs so that he can score a pretty amount of runs for the team. His record in Hyderabad is not so good and he desperately needs to change the record here. Ayush Badoni, the youngster, shows some powerful hits in the death overs but still he also needs to be consistent with his batting.

Glenn Phillips finally got a chance to play in place of Harry Brook and due to his crucial knock of 25 runs in 7 balls which changed the momentum of the match and SRH finally won the match. In the death overs he can show his destruction very easily. Heinrich Klassen always shows his fireworks towards the end but he mostly lacks support on the non striker end but still he is one of the most successful batters from the side. Abdul Samad’s last ball six against Sandeep Sharma provided a convincing win for the team.

LSG is highly disappointed with their bowlers. Ravi Bishnoi is the team leading wicket taker having grabbed 12 wickets. He didn’t get any support from the other end. Amit Mishra started the season well but he also afterwards was unable to take wickets. Avesh Khan who performed brilliantly last year, this year neither he is taking many wickets but also he is throwing away runs easily in his spells.

Sunrisers too struggled with the same thing as his opponent. They have quality pace attack in the form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, T Natarajan and Umran Malik, but all of them are lagging in wicket taking ability. Combined effort is highly required for the team to reach the playoffs. Mayank Markande is the main spinner in the team and he is leading in wickets (11 wickets) tally for the team. He also performed inconsistently due to which opponents scored easily.
