What an incredible season is going for Rahane. Due to his great performance in the IPL he was selected for the WTC final. His powerful hitting which is just not seen regularly by Rahane but this season he proves everyone wrong. His great knock of 71 runs was awarded him the player of the match. CSK openers Gaikwad and Conway gave the team a solid start. Both the openers are looking in great touch. Shivam Dube’s brutal hitting provides valuable runs to the team. In the last match he scored 50 runs in just 21 balls.
Talking about their bowling, their performance is not as great as expected. Despande and Theekshana were expensive in their spells. Jadeja somehow provided some wickets but he was also expensive against KKR. but his overall bowling performance is going good. Pathirana was also good with his spells.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS (RR) Analysis:

Rajasthan have a good net run rate but their back to back two losses put them in 3rd spot. In their last encounter with CSK, RR won the match by 3 runs. They might also go with Adam Zampa who was bowling tight against CSK.
Rajasthan’s major problem is Butler and Samson back to back low scoring. Butler got out early in a few previous matches. Samson was also out cheaply in his last 5 matches. Jaiswal is contributing well with his knocks. Hetmyer needs to be more consistent with the bat. Padikkal was looking in great touch against RCB and also hitted his 1st fifty of this season. Dhruv Jurel, a young wicketkeeper-batter from Uttar Pradesh showed some fireworks in the death overs against RCB.
Their bowling attack is providing some breakthroughs at regular intervals. Chahal and Ashwin spin duo is mostly economical and also takes wickets in their spells. Their speedster Boult and Sandeep Sharma also took wickets but sometimes they were going expensive with their spells.
