Australia (AUS) Analysis:
Aussies after losing two matches in the beginning have now been consistent with their victories. They are currently in the 3rd spot and if they manage wins in all the remaining matches then their road to qualification will be simple. They are performing brilliantly in all the departments and are regaining their momentum.
Tournament performance so far:

5th Match | India | Lost by 6 wickets |
10th Match | South Africa | Lost by 134 runs |
14th Match | Sri Lanka | Won by 5 wickets |

David Warner in his last three matches were playing like a beast. In his last three matches he scored 163, 104 & 81 runs. He has 413 runs in his pocket with a healthy strike rate of 112.53. Travis Head played in the last match and it was his first match in the World Cup and he scored a brilliant century and scored 109 runs in 67 balls. He batted destructively in tests also and was a proper batsman in short format.
Mitchell Marsh has also played well with 225 runs in 6 matches. He has 1 century and 1 half century in his name. But unfortunately he will miss the match as he went to Australia due to some of his personal reasons. Steve Smith didn’t perform well in this tournament. He just has a single half century to his name which came against Netherlands where he scored 71 runs. Marnus Labuschagne also has 1 half century to his name which also came against Netherlands and there he scored 62 runs.
Glenn Maxwell has improved his performance as compared to beginning. He already hit the fastest century in the World Cup and is looking more aggressive than before. Also with the ball he has taken 4 wickets in his pocket. Josh Inglis scored 1 half century in the tournament. He is providing some valuable runs in the end but needs to contribute more with the bat in the death overs.
Pat Cummins, the leader of the team is contributing in both the departments. He is basically a bowler and took 8 wickets in the tournament but he batted destructively in the death overs and contributed some valuable runs with the bat. Mitchell Starc grabbed 7 wickets till now. He was wicketless in the last match against New Zealand which was his first time in the World Cup. He is also a little expensive in his spells and needs to be more precise with the bowl.
Josh Hazelwood has taken 8 wickets till now. He is highly dangerous in the starting overs. Adam Zampa started the tournament with some low performances but after that he has taken back to back minimum 3 wickets in the last 4 matches. Till now he grabbed 16 wickets, just a little thing he needs to improve is his economy which is 6.22.
Marcus Stoinis might be considered in the playing 11 in place of Marsh. Stoinis didn’t have a decent tournament till now and he might be in a hurry to make this chance fruitful.
Predicted 11 for the Match:
Pat Cummins ©, David Warner, Travis Head, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Josh Inglis (wk), Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Adam Zampa.
England (ENG) Analysis:
The defending champions are not looking in form in this tournament. They have tried all their players but nothing seems to be working in their way. They failed in all the departments and were unable to carry their last winning momentum. One of the biggest chokings was their batting lineup. They have a huge batting lineup but none of them perform consistently.
Tournament performance so far:
Match Number | Opponents | Result |
1st Match | New Zealand | Lost by 9 wickets |
7th Match | Bangladesh | Won by 137 runs |
13th Match | Afghanistan | Lost by 69 runs |
20th Match | South Africa | Lost by 229 runs |
25th Match | Sri Lanka | Lost by 8 wickets |
29th Match | India | Lost by 100 runs |
Dawid Malan is the only centurion from the team in this tournament. He scored 140 runs against Bangladesh. But after that he got some couple of good starts but couldn’t convert that into a big one. Jonny Bairstow has been shown much upsets with the bat in most of the innings. He just has one half century to his name which came against Bangladesh where he scored 52 runs.
Joe Root, one of the strongest players from the team, has started the tournament with 2 half centuries where he scored 77 & 82 runs. But after that he choked and in his last three matches he got out in single digits. Ben Stokes who was injured and made himself fit in the last three matches where he just scored 5, 43 & 0. These stats don’t justify him well.
Jos Butler, the leader of the team hasn’t hit a 50 in the tournament till now and has a highest score of 43 runs which came against New Zealand in the very first match. He is highly inconsistent with the bat and strings of low scores continue. Moeen Ali has not been able to perform in both the departments. With the ball he didn’t get any wickets and with the bat he has scored very less.
Liam Livingstone, the hard hitter of the ball has been unable to hit that firmly. Not only this, his connection with the bat and ball has also been poor in the World Cup. Harry Brook scored a brilliant half century against Afghanistan but in the remaining he was hardly seen scoring any runs. He is struggling with his form.
Chris Woakes played in the team as a bowler more than batsman, but he failed in both the departments. Against India in the last match though he got 2 wickets and was also economical but in the remaining matches which he played was not able to perform brilliantly. David Willey has 5 wickets to his name which came in the last two matches. He is considerably performing well as compared to the other players in the team. He can also bat well as he opens in the domestic matches.
Adil Rashid, the main spinner of the team has 8 wickets to his name which is the most from them. He is mostly performing consistently with the bowl and also bowled some economical spells. Mark Wood has taken just 4 wickets till now in the World Cup. he is one of the fastest bowlers in the world but this couldn’t be converted into wickets. His precision to the line and length worsens.
Gus Atkinson only played one match where he took wickets and with the bat he also contributed some healthy runs where he scored 35 runs which came against South Africa. Sam Curran, one of the star all rounders from the side has been highly expensive in his spells and with the bat he was unable to score much.
