Due to continuous rain in Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) has been called off. Both the teams got 1 point each.
With this now Gujarat has been eliminated from the Playoffs race whereas Kolkata have now fixed their position in top 2 in the points table and they will be seen in the Qualifier 1.
Previously these two teams won their respective encounters. Kolkata got a brilliant victory against MI while Gujarat won against CSK where Gill and Sudharsan both scored centuries there.
In between there was still hope that the play might resume but the rain didn’t stop much and finally after 10:30 the groundsmen did a fantastic job to prepare the pitch on time after the rain stopped. But the outfield was a little wet and finally it was abandoned without the toss.
