Sanju Samson scored the most runs for the team after scoring a brilliant half-century with the bat. He scored 58 runs in 45 balls in which he hit one four and 4 sixes. His strike rate was 128.89. He got a brilliant support from Riyan Parag (22 runs) as both of them added 55 runs for the 4th wicket.
Towards the end, Shivam Dube showed the destruction with the bat as he scored 26 runs in 12 balls in which 2 fours and 2 sixes were included.
Blessing Muzarabani bowled beautifully as he got 2 wickets by spending 19 runs in his 4 overs of spell. Skipper Raza, Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta got 1 wicket each.
In the chase, Zimbabwe kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Though at one point of time they looked decent as they were 84/3 but they failed to utilize that to much longer. Dion Myers was the highest scorer from the side with 34 runs in 32 balls. He has a strike rate of 106.25 and hit 4 fours and a six.
Tadiwanashe Marumani at the start scored 27 runs in 24 balls while towards the end Faraz Akram showed some good hands with his destruction knock of 27 runs in 13 balls in which he hit 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Mukesh Kumar got his best figures in the T20 international after taking 4 wickets in his 3.3 overs and conceded 22 runs. Dube got 2 wickets while Tushar Deshpande, Abhishek Sharma and Washington Sundar got 1 wicket each.
