Indian Men’s Cricket Team get gold in the Asian Games

Despite the rain damaging match, India was declared the winner and got the gold medal in the Asian Games. Afghanistan settled with the silver medal. 

Afghanistan scored 112/5 in 18.2 overs and after that the rain started and after waiting for some time the matchy was called off. 

Earlier Bangladesh got the bronze medal after defeating Pakistan by 6 wickets. Indian women also got the gold medal while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh got silver and bronze respectively. 

Match had already started late due to wet outfield and after that when it resumed Indian skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad after winning the toss opted to bowl first. 

A very poor start as they lost 3 wickets early in just 12 runs and after that they lost 2 more wickets and the runs on the board was 52. But after that a great partnership arose between Shahidullah Kamal (49 runs) and Gulbadin Naib (27 runs) of 60 runs. But after that the rain started and at times they scored 112 runs in 18.2 overs by losing 5 wickets. 

Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube, Shahbaz Ahmed and Ravi Bishnoi claimed 1 wicket each.
