Teams Analysis:

India (IND):

They are the undefeated team in this tournament having won all their matches and one match against Canada was called off due to rain. A perfect team contribution has been from them in all their matches due to which they were able to win those matches. Both the departments are working brilliantly and helped the team to win the matches.

In the batting unit, skipper Rohit Sharma is currently the leading runs scorer from the team with 191 runs to his credit. He is known for his destruction from the start and carries a strike rate of 159.17 in this tournament till now. He has two half-centuries and the best came against Australia in the last match where he just demolished their whole bowling unit after scoring 92 runs in 41 balls.

Virat Kohli is still not up to the mark, and has been dismissed very early most of the times. In this tournament he got two ducks to his name which is very hard to see from him. He managed only 66 runs in 6 matches and has a strike rate of 100. His best came against Bangladesh where he scored 37 runs. Rishabh Pant, though didn’t score a 50+ knock yet but his contribution in the scoreboard gave a huge boost. Till now he managed 167 runs and had a strike rate of 132.54. The best was against Pakistan where he scored 42 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav has provided some destruction in the middle overs and if gets in the death overs, then his strike rate is 200+. He scored 149 runs till now and has two half-centuries to his name. His best came against Afghanistan where he scored 53 runs and had a strike rate of 139.25.

Hardik Pandya has shown the brilliancy in both the departments. With the bat he got 116 runs and has a strike rate of 145. He got one half-century to his name and that came against Bangladesh where he got unbeaten 50 runs. While with the bowl he got 8 wickets with an economy of 7.48.

In the bowling unit, Arshdeep Singh is the leading wicket-taker for the team as he took 15 wickets till now. His economy being 7.42 and the best came against USA where he got 4 wickets after conceding only 9 runs in his 4 overs. Jasprit Bumrah has been sensational with his spells in all the matches as batters find him difficult to play. He got 11 wickets till now with an economy of 4.09. He has been consistent with his line and length throughout the tournament.

Kuldeep Yadav is handling the spin department pretty well as he has got 7 wickets till now in 3 matches. His economy is 6.25 and a really hard bowler in the middle overs. Axar Patel also supported him well from the other end as he took 5 wickets till now, though he was unable to contribute much with the bat.

Probable Playing 11 of India (IND):

Rohit Sharma ©, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah.

England (ENG):

The defending champion had made themselves proud after becoming the first team to reach the Semi-Final of this 2024 T20 World Cup. At the start, during the group stage it looked a little impossible for them to reach the next round, but somehow they managed and marked their place into the Semis. A decent performance has been seen by them in both the departments which took them here till now.

In the batting department, skipper Jos Buttler has been leading the chart from the team for scoring most runs till now. He has managed 191 runs till now and the best came against USA where he just destroyed them with full power and scored 83 runs in 38 balls. His strike rate is 159.17 and is looking more aggressive than before.

His partner Phil Salt is not much behind him as he scored 183 runs with a strike rate of 166.36. He has been destructive from the start and carries this till the time he was there in the crease. He also got one half-century to his name and that came against the West Indies where he scored unbeaten knock of 87 runs.

Harry Brook in the middle provides solidity to the team as he scored 120 runs till now and also has the same average which is 120. Against South Africa he got a brilliant 53 runs knock, but failed to get par the targeted score just a little short. Jonny Bairstow also contributed decently in the middle as he managed 110 runs in 5 innings till now and the best came against West Indies where he scored 48 runs.

All-rounders Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone also performed decently till now. But with the bat they didn’t provide much. Moeen got 63 runs with the bat and took 3 wickets whereas Livingstone got 61 runs with the bat and took 3 wickets.

In the bowling unit, Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer got most wickets with 9 wickets to their name. Rashid got more dangerous in the Super 8 stage as he got 4 wickets with an economy of under 6. Archer has an economy of 7.03 and has been consistent in the wicket taking process.

Chris Jordan’s brilliance in the last match where he got a hattrick against USA and took 4 wickets in total has taken 7 wickets till now in total. Though he was mostly expensive in his spells as his economy touched 8.95.

Probable Playing 11 of England (ENG):

Jos Buttler (c & wk), Phil Salt, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Reece Topley.

Pitch Report for the match between India (IND) and England (ENG):

The match will be played at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Well over 80m down the ground, late 70s on the leg-side and only 70 on the off-side. It might be tough because of the variable bounce. Not much bounce on the surface and that could be a cause of concern. Some turned, some didn’t turn. Overall, there was a lack of bounce, that’s where the uncertainty is really for the batters.

Weather Report:

A huge chance of rain is predicted on the match day as there is a chance of a 70% thundershower. If the match didn’t happen due to the rain and not a single ball bowled, then India will automatically qualify for the final due to the greater points in the Super 8. Humidity will be close to 80%. The highest temperature may be around 30 degree celsius while the lowest may be around 25 degree celsius.
