India secures place in the Semifinals

India got their seat reserved for the Semi Finals after defeating Australia by 24 runs. With this victory they topped their group while Aussies now have to depend on the match result between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

India scored 205/5 in 20 overs and in reply Australia scored 181/7 in 20 overs. 

Aussies in their last match got a healthy defeat against Afghanistan whereas Mein in blue showed a great domination against Bangladesh in their last encounter. 

Mitchell Marsh, after winning the toss, chooses to bowl first. 

Rohit Sharma showed his full powerful knock against the Aussies and scored a super fast 92 runs in 41 balls. In his innings he hit 7 fours and 8 sixes and had a strike rate of 224.39. Virat Kohli once again failed to perform and got out on a duck. 

Suryakumar Yadav continued his ruthless form and scored 31 runs in 16 balls. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes before departing. Shivam Dube (28 runs) and Hardik Pandya (27 runs not out) contributed towards the end.

Mitchell Starc and Marcus Stoinis got 2 wickets each. Josh Hazlewood settled with one wicket. 

In the chase, Yellow Army lost David Warner (6 runs) early. From there a solid 81 runs partnership was made between Travis Head and skipper Marsh. Marsh departed at 37 runs in 28 balls. Head once again showed the power and scored 76 runs in 43 balls. He hit 9 fours and 4 sixes in his knock. 

After the team lost their 2nd wicket, the wickets fell one after the other.      

Arshdeep Singh got 3 wickets while Kuldeep Yadav got 2 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel got 1 wicket each.
