In a short notice, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced a reserve day for the India-Pakistan match. It is the first time that a reserve day has been preserved beside the final. Final is already having a reserve day.
Previously the match between India-Pakistan had been called off due to unfortunate rain. Now they meet on 10th September at Colombo on Sunday. The match will carry forward on Monday if it is called off on Sunday due to bad weather or rain. A little advantage for both the teams but little disadvantage for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh as they don’t have any reserved day for their matches.
ACC said, “A reserved day has been incorporated for the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4’s match between India and Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September at Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. If adverse weather suspends play during the Pakistan vs India game, the match will continue on 11th September from the point it was suspended.”
🚨 The India vs Pakistan game on September 10 is the only game that has been allocated a reserve day in the Super Four round of #AsiaCup2023

Also if the match goes till Monday then the Indian team might have little to worry about as they will meet Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
