The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced USD 4 million for the winner of the tournament. While the runner-up will get USD 2 million.
As ICC already declared that the men and women will get the same amount of prize in the ICC tournaments, therefore the same amount will be given for the Women World Cup which will take place in 2025.
The teams who will lose the semi-final matches will get USD 8 lakh each. The winner from each group stage will get USD forty thousand.
The tournament matches will start from the 5th October and the final will be played on 19th November. Total 48 matches will be played.
10 teams will participate: India (host), Australia, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands.
