Ex-Pakistan pacer takes a dig at India without Bumrah

India is currently in a fix for the selection of Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah for the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy. It is expected that the announcement of Men In Blue might come on January 18-19.

As some reports already stated that Bumrah might miss the group stage matches in the Champions Trophy. His absence might create a huge impact in the team as he is currently the world’s best pacer and batters find him difficult to play, especially in the death overs.

The team will play their first match of the tournament on February 20th against Bangladesh. The much awaited match India-Pakistan will be on February 23, where both the teams will meet in Dubai.

Now former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir believes that the chances of the Men In Blue will get highly reduced in the absence of Bumrah. He said, “It will be a huge loss to India if Bumrah isn’t there. He has been a top bowler for India, leading the pack from the front. Without him, the Indian bowling attack is reduced to 40-50 percent of its strength.”

Amir is known for creating problems for both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as he dismisses both of them in the ICC events. He took retirement in December 2020 but makes his comeback in international cricket in March 2024 so that he can play the 2024 T20 World Cup. But in December 2024 he again announced his retirement from the international circuit and is only available to play the league matches all around the world.
