Bangladesh got their much needed victory over Netherlands and maintained their hopes for the Super 8 round. They won the match by 25 runs and inches closer to the next round. With this Sri Lanka got eliminated to reach Super 8.
Both the teams got defeated in their last encounters. And both of the defeats came against South Africa. Bangladesh missed the winning chance just by a few inches at the last moments, while Netherlands was unable to capitalize the momentum at the end and got the defeat.
The Bengal Tigers scored 159/5 in 20 overs and in reply the Dutch team managed 134/8 in 20 overs.

Shakib Al Hasan showed his experience and scored a brilliant half-century. He got unbeaten till the end and made 64 runs in just 46 balls in which 9 boundaries were included. Tanzid Hasan at the start got some great shots and scored 35 runs in 26 balls. He hit 5 fours and a six in his knock.
Then towards the end, Mahmudullah (25 runs) and Jaker Ali (14 runs not out) helped Shakib from the other end.
Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren got 2 wickets each. Dutt conceded only 17 runs in his 4 overs where Meekeren conceded only 15 runs in 4 overs. Tim Pringle got 1 wicket.
In the chase, Dutch players struggled to get a solid partnership as no big partnerships were made between the players due to which they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and lost the match. Sybrand Engelbrecht was the highest scorer from the side with 33 runs. He took 22 balls and hit 3 fours and a six. Vikramjit Singh (26 runs) and skipper Scott Edwards (25 runs) tried to pull up the things for the team in the middle but unable to take their innings to much longer.
Rishad Hossain once again shines for the team and this time got 3 wickets in his 4 overs and conceded 33 runs while Taskin Ahmed got 2 wickets. Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mahmudullah got 1 wicket each.
